No words necessary for Clements Ribeiro's Spring/Summer 2011 collection. What says Spring better than big, pretty blooms, a smidge of sparkle, and the perfect weather's warming hue: every shade of yellow.
Steiff, the uncontested master of the teddy bear, have deviated from their usual adorable, rather reality-based stuffed animals to bring us this acid pop charmer. He's 8" tall, retails for about $50, and comes in five collectible colours that mean it: melted creamsicle orange, psych-out purple, pepto pink, kinetic blue & what I'll call inchwormeee! green. And for Easter I would like one of each. ;)
Because he's so different from their usual fare he's called Crazy Rabbit. There's also a rumour that he comes with some kind of cutout costumes. What fun!
Casamania's new café-style tables are called Philippe I and were designed by Sam Baron, the talented young designer who brought us last year's Marie Antoinette Pop. The Philippe I tables look a little like the offspring of an elegant antique and a majestic jellyfish- a most charming hybrid! Made from lime wood, walnut & MDF, they're topped with a perfect sheet of glass.
At 3.5 x 5", they're small. Printed on beautiful, thick white cardstock, they feature charming illustrations and witty messages. They're blank inside, giving you space to craft the perfect note, and some of the illustrations wrap around the backs of the cards, which is fun, don't you think? And, very importantly, they all feature the perfect amount of hand-glittered accents. They're small treasures. Tokyomilk provides a spot-on description: As much a treat to give as to receive. I'm so looking forward to collecting and giving this collection of beautiful any-message greeting cards.
Sorry that the glitter doesn't show up on the Tokyomilk site's product shots- you'll just have to trust me. ;)
If you're crazy for green, here's a great piece to introduce some major colour into a room. Simply called Nesting Tables/Step Stools, Areaware's trio of tables by designer Paul Loebach pack a serious punch of colour- and function too. Each unit has a hinged lid to provide you with some always needed storage space, and the three pieces tuck together or can be used seperately. Now in stock at Areaware, the set retails for US$400 and also comes in blue or grey.
Made from layers of cotton and synthetic latex, Nanimarquina's pretty Potten collection are versatile vessels that can be used as vases, bowls, or as small storage baskets. Several shapes and colourways available. How will we choose?!
