Tick is brilliant. Tick is a table's legs without the top. Turn anything you like into a table. Better yet, turn a series of anythings into tables. Tick can be used with whatever material and shape of board you like, be it circle, square or rectangle. Buy it directly from the designer, Linie 58, for €78-94 +shipping and have it delivered anywhere in the EU. An ocean away? Worth asking for a favour from European friends; a couple of clever legs aren't too difficult to tuck into a suitcase or add to a care package. Currently available in two sizes, with more on the way.

gervasoni / website

Eye candy to be found on the Gervasoni website!! They have a new "interactive tour" which showcases their gorgeous pieces, like Paola Navone's Gray collection (previously blogged about here, Gray is wooden perfection. Furniture doesn't get better than this). Lovely inspiration shots as well and quick links to every item featured. Also impressive (and heart-warming), they credit the non-Gervasoni items as well! Chandlo / Doshi Levien

Doshi Levien's Chandlo dressing table for BD Barcelona requires no accessorizing- it's perfectly kitted-out just as it is. The Chando features 2 mirrors- one round with a graphic-patterned back, and one rosy-hued. Its also got a rosewood-ply jewelery box right there on the tabletop to keep your jewels or primping potions at the ready. Such an interesting alternative to a drawer!

sebastian herkner / tauber for pulpo

Hey- I'm back!! I hope to be posting on a regular basis again, starting now. I've got lots of beautiful designs bookmarked and ready to share with you. Shall we start with...

German designer Sebastian Herkner's new Tauber Collection is inspired by something rather dull & generally uninspiring: the covers of ventilation shafts. And the folds found in the facades aren't just there for beauty's sake either- they help to provide stability. The collection consists of a cabinet, bench and individual boxes. Made from powder-coated steel, they're manufactured by Pulpo and come in white, black, grey & the perfect shade of green.

I'm in love with everything Québec City-based SIX POINTE ONE does. 6.1 is co-designed by Claudia Després & Jérémy Couture and their designs are equal parts charm and friendly utilitarianism:

Log Bench; meant to store wood for your fireplace, the top half lifts off and is easily transportable.

periphere / helsinsky

With two levels and the proportions 89¾ x 15¾ x 18¾", Periphere's Helsinsky Console sure does give you a lot of space to play with. Talented Brother and Sister team Thien & My Ta Trung are the designers behind the Periphere name, but they run and stock a furniture shop here in Montreal called Domison- a must-see. While Helsinsky is available in a variety of woods and tripod finishes, I'm entirely smitten with this white & yellow combo.

Imagine the pretty papers & pens, grommets, glue & glitter- the fun supplies you could store in this wonder! With open, easily accessible drawers that can be removed entirely for full access, it's meant to be a place for tools. So minimalist but visually intriguing, it could be used for perfectly curated small anythings. Say hello to Line Depping's jewelbox of a unit of drawers: Tool Boxes.

I've bookmarked so many lovely things that were featured in Milan, thinking I'd showcase this 'n that over the next few weeks, but I can't help myself! Here's a grouping of good stuff; let's call it Best of Milan 2011, part 1:

Established & Sons Takeaway; challenging the theory that what's inside the box is more interesting than the container itself- in a Tobi Wong-esque way. Charming.

The Bouroullec Brothers new & covetable creature is all set to replace old-school classics like Vitra's Eames House Bird and Kay Bojensen's Monkey for Rosendahl. He's called L‘Oiseau and will be manufactured by Vitra

Somehow both lightweight & substantial, Established & Sons Mesh table by Ed Carpenter and André Klauser

fritz hansen / favn by jaime hayon

They say Favn is Danish for Embrace. If so, it's the perfect name for this new super-enveloping sofa by Fritz Hansen. Designer Jaime Hayon was inspired by Arne Jacobsen classics like the iconic Swan & Egg chairs (notice both are shown in the following product shots), wanting to design a sofa that would be beautiful from all angles. Success! Favn should be available towards the end of 2011.

bed perfection

I'd be willing to sell half my furniture, maybe all of it, for this bed. After searching the internet for pictures of it in this gorgeous shade of dusty pink (a hue that was exhibited at Maison & Objet), I finally found a couple of them in a Ligne Roset PDF. So, here you have it, my second Inge Sempé post in a week, the glorious Ruché bed by Ligne Roset:
