Will your week include an evening, or two, of gift wrapping? I'm looking forward to wrapping gifts later this week with a glass of glühwein in hand and a mess of papers, ribbons, glue sticks, spray glue, glitter and ribbon scattered across the table. Looking for some inspiration? Why not try wrapping gifts in fabric remnants? Add a string of baubles if you need to add some sparkle. Embrace kraft paper but add sweet picture applicés from last year's cards or magazines. Wrap pretty paper or fabric in a bow of contrasting ribbon- better yet, two variations of your contrasting hue. And if you fall hard for a specific paper- wrap everything in it! If you have last minute doubts, you can always vary the ribbon. Go at it solo, enlist help, or invite some friends over. The most important thing is to make sure to have fun!

Also, love Frank Stoeckel's website! Why is it so rare to come across a photographer's site and see decent sized images- let alone a download button! It's a really lovely website and a very refreshing, sane approach to promoting one's own work. It's difficult to marvel at someone's portfolio when the images are wee!

Add layers to the table, add textures, and add purely ornamental items that you love. Tree ornaments on the table? Yes! Pine cones, cinnamon sticks tied with ribbon, something green, something that glitters? Oh, yes, absolutely. ;)

If you're in Sweden, check out their shop on Strandvägen in Stockholm, otherwise have a look at their gorgeous website. Great looking site, easy to navigate; e-commerce done right.
Unbelievably grandiose bathrooms by Glass Inspired by Water featuring their Livin' collection. Have a look at these beyond beautiful bathrooms with gorgeous tubs and fixings by Doshi Levien, Ross Lovegrove and Gigi Rossi. You'll recognize the bit players in this mis-en-scène; they're from Vitra, Moroso, Louis Vuitton and more. You simply must click on the images for a larger view and visit the Livin' website for the huge (uncropped) images of these gorgeous bathroom vistas!
Honestly, I had no idea I wanted such a large, luxurious bathroom! But that was before I saw this:
These images feature Hansgrohe's Axor Urquiola collection, designed by the super-fabulous Patricia Urquiola. Also thrown into the gorgeous mix are some of Urquiola's iconic designs, like Moroso's Shanghai Tip occasional table, Emu's Re-Trouvé 575 stool, the Flos Chasen S1 pendants, and B&B Italia's Lens side table. All fixtures and bath components are, of course, from the Axor line.
What makes this room so amazing? I really love a white room with a lot of green, so that part of the attraction is easily identified. Otherwise, I think it's the touches of wood, the expansive reflective & patterned surfaces, the eclectic touches from the printed pendant lights and patterned rug (Paola Lenti by Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto- sadly, possibly discontinued). And the pieces with thin black lines ground the room beautifully, as do the touches of grey. Oh, and click on the images if you want a better look!
