greenmarker grass post-its / yuruliku

No more cheesy fluoro post-its poking out of books and magazines! Can't wait to get my hands on Yuruliku DESIGN's GreenMarker collection. Inspired by grass, these page markers are made with 3M post-it sticky note technology and have been awarded a 2010 Good Design award.

tokyomilk / greeting card perfection

At 3.5 x 5", they're small. Printed on beautiful, thick white cardstock, they feature charming illustrations and witty messages. They're blank inside, giving you space to craft the perfect note, and some of the illustrations wrap around the backs of the cards, which is fun, don't you think? And, very importantly, they all feature the perfect amount of hand-glittered accents. They're small treasures. Tokyomilk provides a spot-on description: As much a treat to give as to receive. I'm so looking forward to collecting and giving this collection of beautiful any-message greeting cards.

wrap it up! last minute inspiration

Will your week include an evening, or two, of gift wrapping? I'm looking forward to wrapping gifts later this week with a glass of glühwein in hand and a mess of papers, ribbons, glue sticks, spray glue, glitter and ribbon scattered across the table. Looking for some inspiration? Why not try wrapping gifts in fabric remnants? Add a string of baubles if you need to add some sparkle. Embrace kraft paper but add sweet picture applicés from last year's cards or magazines. Wrap pretty paper or fabric in a bow of contrasting ribbon- better yet, two variations of your contrasting hue. And if you fall hard for a specific paper- wrap everything in it! If you have last minute doubts, you can always vary the ribbon. Go at it solo, enlist help, or invite some friends over. The most important thing is to make sure to have fun!

holly fulton for smythson

Holly Fulton is a talented young Scottish fashion designer whose work is beautifully influenced by Art Deco & Bauhaus style. Lucky for us, Smythson has just released a  capsule collection of notebooks and agendas that feature her lovely fashion illustrations- and some correspondence cards too. Last year Smythson collaborated on a heavenly collection with Erdem, check it out here. I'm already thinking about what on earth they'll do next year! Smythson are definitely a luxury company, meaning, their wares are at the high end of the price scale; but what you get for your money is truly a work of art. Save your pennies! I can't tell you how much I cherish the Erdem notebook I received as a gift last year. Almost too precious to write in. Get this new collection here.

 

I should mention that all of the notebooks and agendas from this collaboration are lined with a graphic black & white silk print from Fulton's F/W 2010 Collection, and that the cover illustrations are die-stamped. If you're lucky, or so inclined, some covers feature silver foil.

dictator goods; say it like stalin

These are excellent. Also, they're the perfect greeting card for at least a handful of the clever/wicked people you know.

smythson & erdem collaboration

Oh my goodness- I've been waiting and waiting and they're finally available today! How stunning are these notebooks and diaries?

 

 

Luxury paper-retailer Smythson have collaborated with Erdem to produce these breathtaking, limited edition notebooks and agenda/diaries.

All are leather bound with a silk lining in an Erdem print and feature an additional two pages of Erdem 's illustrations printed on Smythson's signature Featherweight blue paper for added inspiration. There's no way next year wouldn't be better than the last with this tucked under my arm! And imagine jotting down notes or lists in a Erdem/Smythson notebook... the dreaminess of it all.
